Beautiful Day on the Detroit River!

Hi Everyone,

It was another beautiful day on the Detroit River!! Blue skies, glistening water & great friends!! We had some new faces onboard, w/Mr. Lee, Janice Smerigan & Judy Emery, & some faces we hadn't seen for a couple of years, like Don Shannon, Linda Hahnke, Paul LeVeck & Tim Traynor!!

We got to see the grand sisters, Columbia & Ste. Claire! Then, while in the channel, we had a nice tribute to Mark Emery, while the MV Friendship was next to the SS Columbia. Mark's family, were so young, beautiful & strong, honoring their husband, father, brother-in-law & uncle!! Capt. Sam, also gave one truly awesome, master salute to Mark, before leaving the channel!! Please keep Judy & her children in your prayers, for peace & strength in the days & months ahead!!

We than had the Westcott deliver pizzas to the boat! My girls have seen this done, now for 3 yrs., but are still so excited & anxious when it happens:)!! We almost made it to the Ren Cen this year, before heading back to Wyandotte. I had a really hard time driving home to Clarkston, after 3 hours of fresh fall water air!! To think I use to do it 12-16 hrs/day, seems like a lifetime/different body ago:)!!
